SHARK TANK
eSCHOOL
ABOUT
Empowering students to become agents of change to build their futures.
The Shark Tank eSchool program is unique in that it places the teacher at the centre of the delivery activity, emphasising their role as a guide and facilitator rather than a traditional instructor.
This approach allows students to take more ownership of their learning experience, fostering an environment of creativity, innovation, and critical thinking.
The eight modules of the program are structured around an innovation roadmap, designed to guide students along the path of learning and discovery.
Each module is carefully crafted to provide a comprehensive learning experience, incorporating a range of teaching strategies such as collaborative group work, hands-on activities, and case studies. The program also allows for flexibility in terms of scheduling, with the recommended engagement time being 120 minutes per week.
At the culmination of the program, students have the opportunity to showcase their innovation skills and business ideas at their school Venture Showcase. This event features a panel of selected judges, where the two best chosen innovations will progress to the state and potentially national finals, where students can win cash and prizes.
In addition to earning SACE and WACE credits, the Shark Tank eSchool program also offers students who successfully complete MIE Lab capstone assessment will receive a Shark Tank Success! certificate and an ATAR adjustment of two aggregate points when they apply to study with Swinburne University and Charles Sturt University, as well as one conditional undergraduate course credit upon enrolment at the University of Western Australia.
The Shark Tank eSchool program represents an innovative and dynamic approach to teaching innovation, one that empowers students to take charge of their learning and provides them with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in the modern business world.
